South African by birth, but working on my Britishness. Life traveled me around Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Harpenden, Newcastle, and Exeter. Brief forays in America, Canada, and China. Also visits to Barcelona, Paris, Bordeaux, Hawaii, Sri Lanka and Haiti.
Studied genetics and biochemistry for a good decade (!), spent 2 years working as a scientist, then qualified as an EFL teacher, worked in London (and China) doing that, then found a job in medical/scientific publishing where I worked for over two years. Now back in scientific research.
The older I get, the less I feel like engaging in pointless argument on the internet. Opinions are like assholes etc. That being said, if you have a good point I'm always more than willing to listen.
